Two planes are closer to Midgard than any other. Those are Alfheim the Feywild and Svartalfheim the Shadowfell.

Alfheim, the Feywild

The Feywild is a strange and sometimes dangerous place of eternal twilight, where time has little meaning. Stars are always visible in the sky here, but they are different from the familiar constellations.

The inhabitants of the Feywild are a strange bunch, capable of going from whimsical laughter to drawn swords in a heartbeat.

Svartalfheim, the Shadowfell

This plane is a dark and largely evil plane of undeath and suffering. Those who draw upon its magic leave some of their souls behind as payment.

In the far outlands of the Shadowfell, the great wolf Fenrir roams. He will come to Midgard and do battle with the gods when Ragnarok comes.
